Nikki & Gareth

When Nikki & Gareth first saw the Boiler House I could see the twinkle in their eyes and knew that it was the venue for them. Nikki works for crafty magazine 'Molly Makes' and so she is kind of in the industry already, she has a great eye and understanding of styling. Nikki wanted something a bit different to the norm from a wedding venue, and Gareth was right there with her, especially when I mentioned we served Pipes beer! Pipes is a local craft brewery in Pontcanna which does excellent brews.

 

 

Some couples feel restricted by family expectations but Nikki and Gareth stayed true to themselves and made their perfect day happen from their hand picked play list to the gorgeous unconventional Jamaican food. The Callilou curry was some of the best wedding food I have been lucky enough to sample! The chef's behind the Jamaican feast were Tom & Gwynn who set up great cardiff establishments the Potted Pig and the Lansdowne Pub, and have just opened Milkwood restaurant in Pontcanna.
